The Redeemed Blog

Editorial Policy

The Redeemed Blog publishes health-adjacent content for a vulnerable audience. That carries a responsibility we take seriously. This page states, in plain language, how our content is made and what it may and may not claim. It was last updated October 21, 2026.

1. Recovery-first, always

Every article is written to help people quit gambling, understand the compulsion, or rebuild what gambling damaged. We never publish betting strategy, odds, picks, bonuses or "how to win" content, and we never accept affiliate commissions, sponsorships or payments from gambling operators. Platforms are named only editorially, the way a recovery resource would name them.

2. Sources and accuracy

Factual claims about gambling, addiction, law and programs are drawn from authoritative sources — the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG), SAMHSA, state gaming commissions and problem-gambling councils, peer-reviewed research, and official program pages — and posts cite or link those sources where a claim matters. Program details (such as state self-exclusion rules) are checked against the official source at the time of writing, and posts carry a publication date. Statistics are stated with their source and year, never blended silently.

3. No cure claims, no medical advice

Our content is information and peer-style support, not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and not a substitute for professional treatment. We do not claim that Redeemed — or anything else — "cures" addiction. Where an article touches health, debt or law, it says so plainly and points to qualified help: 1-800-GAMBLER and SAMHSA (1-800-662-4357) appear on every page of this site.

4. Faith content

Redeemed is a Christian recovery resource. Scripture is quoted accurately with its reference, and verses are never used to promise outcomes (no prosperity framing) or to shame a reader who is struggling. Faith content is written for believers and the faith-curious; practical recovery content stands on its own for every reader.

5. Reviews and independence

Where we compare tools (for example gambling-blocking software), we receive no payment or commission from the products named. If that ever changes, the relationship will be disclosed in the article itself, at the top.

6. Corrections and updates

If we get something wrong, we fix the article, note the change at the bottom, and update its date. Readers can flag an error through the Support link on our App Store listing — corrections are reviewed ahead of routine content. Older posts are reviewed on a rolling quarterly cycle for stale facts, broken links and changed program details.

7. Privacy

Per the App Store privacy disclosure, data collected by the Redeemed app is not linked to your identity. Our full privacy policy is here.
